Linzi Carlisle grew up in Dartford, Kent, in the UK, before moving to South Africa, and was living in Johannesburg when she met her husband on a trip to the Drakensberg. They spent thirteen memorable years in Chingola, Zambia, as well as spending time in Deal, back in the UK, before returning to South Africa to run a guest house in the Winelands of the Western Cape for a number of years. Following a move to the Garden Route, she and her husband now live in the beautiful town of George, nestled between the Outeniqua Mountains and the Indian Ocean. They have been the proud parents of many beloved children of the four-legged variety over the years, these being, at the time of writing, two beautiful rescue cats.

Mysteries and crime fiction have been the author's favourite reads since she was a young girl - it all started with Agatha Christie and Ruth Rendell - and she continues to enjoy reading many accomplished authors even as she writes her own mysteries!
