CB Mason, a lover of dystopian tales and strong female characters, writes to inspire and entertain. Drawn to complex world-building, she recognizes the written word's potential to drive social change. For her, writing serves as a means to explore life's uncertainties and to examine resilience and self-discovery. A graduate of Boise High School and Linfield College, CB believes that finding your way doesn’t have to mean traveling in a straight line. Like her characters, her life path has meandered—student, daughter, wife, mother, yoga instructor, volunteer, travel planner, cheerleader (both literal and figurative), dancer, chicken farmer, dandelion gardener, storyteller, and author. Today she is a writer of dystopian YA fiction. When she's not writing, CB enjoys time on her stand-up paddleboard, practicing yoga, or wondering where her kids will end up living (hopefully somewhere sunny so she can visit often). A firm advocate of late-night writing sessions, weekend getaways, and the Oxford comma, she lives near Portland, Oregon, with her husband.
