Mack McColl was born in Edmonton, Alberta, in 1954. He became an independent journalist, writer, author and inventor. Mack lived and worked in many distinct corners of Canada, learning what makes the country unique. He went to Quebec to learn French. His career took him to over 200 Indian Reserves where he made friends in Indigenous communities from coast to coast. This life provided Mack with the grist to compose characters found in the pages of his fiction. Most of his fiction is set in Canada.
