R. Lindsay Carter grew up in the coastal forests of Oregon, where she developed a deep love of nature and animals. Her writing subjects clearly reflect her remarkable childhood upbringing, with plenty of woodsy scenes and quirky characters that aren’t always human. She is the author of a four-book fantasy series, The Familiar’s Legacy, and a historical fantasy novel, The Gentlemen's Guild for Cursed Adventurers. She has also had two short stories published in anthologies. Ms. Carter currently lives outside of Portland, OR with her husband and two daughters, where she continues to dream up more stories to eventually share with the world.
