Rick Perry, a retired English teacher, coach, and administrator, is the author of four self-published novels and a collection of poetry. He is currently working on his next novel set in the fictional town of Eastlake, as well as a young adult novel, and a modern retelling of the Parable of the Prodigal Son. During his thirty-five years as a teacher, coach, and administrator, in both public and private schools, he spent quite a few years working in small towns across Texas, and he loves to write about his experiences. The father of two great kids (Scott and Caitlin), he resides in Livingston, Texas, with his wife Patti and their many cats.
