What can prayer be likened unto?

For me, prayer can be likened unto the air we breathe.
In the natural, we breathe to live; in the spirit realm, we pray to live. And just like healthy human beings do not struggle to breathe and never see breathing as a burden, Christians should not struggle to pray and should never see praying as a burden.

Jesus Christ, our perfect example, never saw prayer as a burden; in fact, prayer was His life! He spent whole nights in prayer (Luke 6:12). He spent early hours in prayer (Mark 1:35). He prayed in the midst of activities (Luke 3:21). He literally breathed prayer; little wonder He dominated this material universe effortlessly.

This, however, is not the experience of many. For many, prayer has become a herculean task and have therefore been left for a selected few.
The reason for this is not far from a lack of understanding on the need for prayer, a relative lack of result from praying, and a lack of the Spirit of prayer. This void is what this series on prayer is set to fill.

The truth remains that the depth of the revelation you have determines the height of your ascent.
