After a year of nothing but heartbreak, I’m swearing off men.

That’s right, I, Cara Livingston, hopeless romantic and eternal optimist, am taking a break. I'll be decking the halls this holiday season instead of searching for love.

And first up? Resurrecting Magnolia Point’s defunct Main Street Holiday Festival. It’s the perfect distraction from my string of dating disasters. (Yup, even that sizzling spring fling with the New York billionaire.)

So when the gruff hardware store owner across the street reluctantly agrees to co-chair the festival it's the perfect solution. I bring the glistening winter wonderland straight out of a made-for-tv-holiday-romcom vision and Thomas brings the brawn to pull it off.

And even if he is too-sexy-for-his-own-good, he's not my type. We’re complete opposites, and never in a million years have I ever considered dating him.

But now that we’re working together, I’m struggling to ignore the way his broad shoulders fill out that flannel. And when disaster strikes, it’s his quick thinking…and those capable calloused hands to my embarrassing rescue.

But there’s no way I’m finding love under the mistletoe. Especially not with Thomas. After all, he might be Southern, but he’s no gentleman.
