About the author

Saralyn Everhart

There was never a place author Saralyn Everhart fit in, so she built one.

She started writing stories as a child, like most do. Every night, when she laid down to sleep, instead of reading, she would write a bedtime story in her head. Magic and faeries, visualizing another world on the other side of her eyelids made it easier to sleep.

She dreamt of everything from being a teacher, to an artist, musician, mathematician; you name it. In another world, maybe it was so. However, Everhart struggled, pushing her back in life. Fresh into the adult world, when she had no direction to go, she began advocating online for invisible disabilities, speaking out on personal struggles. Now, bringing advocacy to her work, she not only writes fantasy, but includes mental health and chronic illness visibility within her stories too.

Everhart was introduced to table-top roleplaying games during her first semester at college in 2019. Haven was created and the world of Pantheon became the center of Thursday nights, not knowing how much the story would heal apart of her own. When it came to an end, Everhart decided to share it with the world.

She wrote, learned, deleted, and repeated for the course of three years. While frustrated nonetheless, she fell in love with writing and released her first book in 2023. Alongside the development of Haven, Everhart's second original character was created, bringing forth her second series with hints to a third series to follow.

Saralyn Everhart spends her days as a stay at home mom to two little babies. Fueled by coffee, writing happens during naps, when everyone goes to bed or with the support of her chosen village. She's also a full-time student, nearly finished with her Bachelor of Arts in English, hoping to transfer into her master's program within the next few years. In the time between, she loves to run, focusing on her fitness and diving into a special interest in digital art.

While growing her family, healing was not an option. She says the first book got her out of bed long enough to find herself again. If asked now, there is no fantasy world ever comparable to the love and happiness she has for her life today.
Everhart wrote these stories as healing journeys, standing powerful against what might try to destroy her.
