Karen Hudgins has always loved stories and their special place in life. She's a mom and grandmother and has a cat. She was born in Lancaster, PA, and has lived in Missouri, Texas, and Florido. Currently, she resides in Colorado. She is a member of a book club.

​​​​​​​Her degree in Behavioral Science helps her create characters and life situations. Karen first wrote seven single title contemporary romance novels, and, most recently five published novellas that feature Diane Phipps, P.I. who solves stubborn crimes in different places.

​​​​​​​Karen also enjoys being out in nature, photography, and her ginger cat. She's been a member of national writer organizations and local writer groups. Discussing novel writing with other writers or readers gives Karen joy. She is currently working on her sixth novella.
