Amina Waynes is a 47 years old African American hoodoo practitioner from Louisiana. She’s been practicing Hoodoo since childhood and is proud of her identity. With many examples of Hoodoo within her lifetime, she’s excited to share these true stories with readers. The combined wisdom of her grandmother and mother's teaching have been passed down through generations she’s well-versed in the practice.

Amina can trace her existing ancestral connections to hoodoo candle makers who were enslaved. Because Hoodoo is imbedded in every facet of her life, Amina practices hoodoo daily. She’s dedicated to teaching people within her local community and loves passing on the traditions and practices to her own children.
