DEREK MANSFIELD HAS LIVED MORE LIVES THAN MOST
Leaving home as a teenager, he sailed around the world in the Royal Navy learning to drink, fight, clean his shoes and iron creases in his trousers. 
He volunteered for the Submarine Service where he was posted to the Polaris missile boat program. After leaving the Navy, fuelled mostly by excess alcohol and a great deal of laughter, he found a job in advertising, the third of his nineteen careers. 
Later, still fascinated by technology and design, he became one of the movers and shakers at the forefront of the instant house and garden makeover revolution. He still carries the guilt. In the late 80’s, seeing the error of his ways, he cleaned up and got sober.  
In 1992 he set up a web agency which grew into a successful web and software development company now based in Kiev, Ukraine.
In his mid-fifties he bought an overlarge motorcycle and too much black leather clothing. At the same time wanderlust bit him very hard and motorcycle travel became a way of life. It shows no sign of abating...
