Stories reflect human life. Our experiences and lives may appear different on the outside, we follow different paths, but everybody's experience of life can be found somewhere written by an author who is thoughtful and observant about the world around him or her.

An author observes, thinks and does his best to put that observation down in words so it will, in reflection of reading, mean something to the reader. In other words, we all learn about life by reading fictional lives.
