Joe Perrone Jr.
Joe Perrone Jr worked as a sportswriter for the Passaic-Clifton, NJ Herald News, as well as a freelance advertising copywriter. He was also a professional fly-fishing guide for 10 years in the Catskill Mountains of New York, and had several fly-fishing short stories published in the Mid-Atlantic Fly Fishing Guide.
The author is best known for his Matt Davis Mystery Series: As the Twig is Bent, Opening Day, Twice Bitten, and Broken Promises. All but the first in the series are set in Roscoe, the small upstate fishing village where Joe was a guide.
In addition to the mysteries, Joe has authored one other novel, Escaping Innocence: A Story of Awakening, and two non-fiction books: A "Real" Man's Guide to Divorce (First, you bend over and...) and Gone Fishin' With Kids (How to Take Your Kid Fishing and Still be Friends).
In 2012, Opening Day received an Indie B.R.A.G. medallion. All of Joe's novels are being produced as audio books and will be available by the end of 2013. They will be distributed by ACX through Amazon.com, Audible.com, and iTunes.
When he is not writing, Joe's time is spent in the publishing consulting business, formatting paperback and Ebooks, as well as designing book covers for clients. He enjoys fly fishing, cooking, listening to music, and watching films. He makes at least one trip a year to the Catskills to fish his beloved Beaverkill, Willowemoc, and other trout streams.
Joe lives in Western North Carolina with his wife and two cats. He enjoys hearing from readers, and can be reached with comments and questions via email at: joetheauthor@joeperronejr.com, or from his website at: www.joeperronejr.com.
