Mel Matos was born in the Dominican Republic but migrated with his family to Venezuela at the age of 2 years old. His professional life has focused on the auditing field. Working for international firms in various locations, he had the opportunity of visiting multiple countries (such as Venezuela, Chile, USA, Australia, among others) as part of his professional activities. In the latest years, his career has evolved into information systems auditing and data analytics, where he continues his development. His hobbies include practising various sports, Latin social dancing, watercolour painting, composing and recording music, among others. Mel Matos finds Asian cultures fascinating.

Vladimir’s Tower was first published in the Spanish language under the title “Vladimiro en su Pedestal y Relatos Ocultos” in Argentina, during 2011. This is the second edition, available both in English and Spanish.  A special edition of “Relatos Ocultos” in Spanish was also published in 2020, this is a compilation of short tales written by Mel Matos since he was 15 years old, including those submitted for literary contests in countries such as Venezuela, Argentina, and Spain.
