Rachel Lautermilch started writing in middle school but didn't begin to take it seriously until she was in high school. Volunteering at her church and working at a nursing home, didn't leave her with much time for writing, but she made time.
Stories remain something that she still loves. But more than that, what drives her work is a desire to talk about God and leave behind Christian stories that mean something. She's read too many books that claimed to be Christian and yet had nothing spiritual sound to offer anyone. Her purpose isn't merely to entertain, but to teach and make people think about their spiritual lives.
If God told you to tell people about Him, how would you do that? This was one of the questions that haunted Rachel Lautermilch. Her first book was written to answer that question. One day we will all go to either Heaven or Hell, do you know where you will go?
