Former banker James Addington has armed thousands of explosive devices the length and breadth of the United Kingdom.

Only Addington can disarm the bombs, and he has only one demand. The entire Royal Family, and all those in line to the throne, must abdicate and relinquish all their lands and titles.

Only abdication will serve as retribution for the tragedy inflicted on Addington's family decades previously.

Fail to abdicate, and the bombs will start to explode.

Rachael Walker, newly promoted to head the CIA's London office, receives a tip that puts her on the trail of Addington. Only her team is close to finding the bomber; fail, and innocent victims will die. And the economy will grind to a complete halt if nobody is safe from destruction.

Separately, disgraced investigative journalist, Scott Anthon, is commissioned to write a 'fluff' piece on the former high-flyer of the London finance scene, James Addington. A 'fluff' piece that turns into a serious investigation. Perhaps, stopping the bomber will atone for his own awful crime. A crime he committed years ago for which he has never forgiven himself.

Retribution is a suspense thriller that will appeal to readers of the 'Just one more chapter' style of book. You know you should put the book down and go to sleep but ….

About the author

Andrew Mooney

Andrew Mooney is an international nomad having lived and worked in Australia, Singapore, Vietnam and the Solomon Islands as well as visiting and working in over thirty-five different countries.

Born in 1963 in Singapore his parents moved the family (Andrew and his two younger brothers, Robert and Paul) from Singapore to England, then to South Africa, back to England and finally to Sydney, Australia. All before he was 15 years old.

Andrew completed his schooling in Australia and then attended university where he earned a Bachelor of Business (Accounting and Finance) and then completed a Masters Degree in Applied Finance. As a qualified CPA (a fact that he tries to deny at every occasion) he has been fascinated by the rise of China and how the West has played into their plans.

He currently lives in Singapore with his long-suffering wife and daughter and plans to move to Vietnam soon. His sons live in London and Sydney to escape the eccentricities of their father. But they still contact him when they need money. Which is often.

He was inspired to write his first novel after completing a self-publishing course, which inspired him to write a book that he would like to read.

His second novel is in the pipeline and Andrew expects to publish his follow-up work in 2021.
