Mabel was an excellent maid, but suddenly one morning, she stopped functioning. Lee Jim, her owner, reloaded some files into her and got her working again.  Across the city, robots were breaking down and became a wide-spread epidemic across the city.  Robots failed to recognize the simplest commands and became nonfunctional.  Fires burned out of control since all the firemen were robots.  ‘Robot teachers stopped teaching the children and just sat in front of the classroom. Lee Jim was the systems security manager for I-TEC Robotics, Inc. and it was up to him to figure out how to combat this virus.

This short story is suitable for all age groups.
