You have probably heard of hypnosis from a friend, from the internet or from the mere fact that it’s well known by lots of people. There are numerous therapeutic techniques, hypnosis just happens to be one of them. Hypnosis is believed to have been originally practised by the Egyptians, Persians, Sumerians, Romans, Chinese and Indians. It is therefore safe to say that hypnosis was first practised in the Middle East and Asia before other nations.

For ages people in different parts of the world have been practicing hypnosis, otherwise referred to as mesmerism. It has been indicated to be successful in the treatment of several health conditions both physical and emotional. There are two types of hypnosis. One type is hetero hypnosis- where a person is induced into the hypnotic state by another person, a hypnotist. The second type is self-hypnosis which is self-induced.

Being a single mother of three was not exactly an easy task for Paula.
