This is a line from a song many times recorded.

Tragedy is a story of that one love. A story of timing, of perseverance and above all, plain dumb luck.

And perhaps a little love.

This is after all just a simple love story. The kind that could have happened to anyone. However this story didn't happen to just anyone, it happened to me. And it certainly wasn't just a simple love story.

She and I were a pair of young innocents whose lives became inseparable many years before we actually even met. In all likelihood we had both been in the same place, possibly at the same time, but it was never in the right place and never at the right time. I could have been a mere second away from that exact place and that exact time, but one second is a lifetime when fate is involved, so we never met. I may have seen her, even smiled at her all to no avail. Timing is everything and because fate had stepped in, it looked very much like we were never going to be together.

But what if there is no fate, except that which we make for ourselves.

This is that story. A story of never letting anything get in your way when it comes to love.
