A former school teacher and newspaper reporter, Kerry Rye has been a compulsive reader her whole life, mostly of nonfiction books on a seemingly endless range of topics. She has one thing in common with nearly every other human being who has two X chromosomes, though. Her early years were spent dreaming of when and how her Prince Charming would arrive. When he finally did, she had to admit it was close. The guy lacked just one critical component—a fortune. He’s still around, though, which counts for a lot. Still, he could get out of the house a bit more. It’s a mild complaint. Life is good, but when Kerry takes a break from serious reading, she likes to watch Hallmark romantic comedies on television and occasionally read a good romance novel. One day she had an urge to write one, to conjure up a Prince Charming for her own heroine. Pretend You Love Me is her first novel.
