John Susko, who majored in biology at a Southern Benedictine School, had a love of nature and writings about nature. His main employment in life was fish farming, which included living two years in West Africa to help start such a project. His last years were spent as care-giver for his mom and dad, before they passed. Then John found himself diagnosed with cancer, and writing prose-poems about nature and cosmic themes, first to friends, then to his mom and dad. With a deep connection to spirituality, he became a writer, whose work has drawn compliments from many quarters. He loved to travel and his dream of having four brothers journey to the Canadian Rockies was actualized some three months before his death.
