Lisa is from West Virginia and is the mom of  a blind Alaskan Malamute. She loves iced tea, iced coffee, pizza, chocolate, the beach, seashells, The Eagles (band), and Bates Motel. Her favorite season is summer and she loves being outdoors. Writing is her passion. She created her characters and their world as a teenager and turned it into a book series as an adult. Her love of dance spills into her book, but dance is not at the forefront of the story. Anyone can enjoy the series and its spinoffs, even if they don't have a love of dance.
