Veroinca Roser grew up on Kent Island on the Chespeake Bay. Her love for the water led her to become one of the first women to ever sail in the United States Merchant Marines and Navy Reserve Military Sealift Command and she studied marine sciences remotely at sea. She served 3 tours in the Persian Gulf War in 1983 and afterwards, jumped ship in Key West where she became professional salvage diver and marine researcher. In 20 years of diving she did over 10,000 dives and became one with the ocean. Stories she writes are about her time at sea, her life as a diver, and events and people in the Florida Keys.
