Obedience is a word that makes me cringe a little every time I hear it. What am I going to have to give up and how badly will it hurt?

However, that's not God's definition of obedience. Obedience is about relationship.

God invites us into a relationship with Him and then encourages us to become more like Him. During that process, obedience is required. Sometimes it's painful when we're letting go of our selfish desires, but the end goal is always freedom… hope, peace and joy.

I invite you to join me through these pages as I learned that God isn't a judge sitting "way up there" waiting to punish me. No, He's ultimately my Friend and loving Father – inviting, guiding, encouraging and inspiring me to continue my journey to choose to live a life of obedience.
