Ed Tobias spent more than 40 years in the broadcast news profession, most of it with the Associated Press in Washington, D.C., before retiring at the end of 2012. He is the recipient of several national broadcast news awards.

Tobias was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1980 but, despite his MS, he has traveled to more than 15 countries, across four continents, and to most U.S. states.  He writes the blog The MS Wire and shares his knowledge as an MS patient communicator with companies and professional groups.

In his spare time Tobias is an avid ham radio operator, prefering to use Morse code to communicate with other hams.

He's a proud grandpa and he and his wife Laura split their time between Washington, D.C. and Florida.
