Demon king—and all-around perfect specimen—Claus, is in the human world for one thing: to enjoy all the pleasures and delights that it offers. Sheriff Jake is a straight man who lives a quiet existence. Nothing much happens in his small town, that is until Claus rolls in, larger than life and with an arrogance to match. He’s the type of man who thinks he can just point at what he wants—no matter the obstacles. Or the fact that, you know, Jake isn’t gay.

What others would call conceit, Claus calls confidence. He’s never wanted anything like he wants Jake and he’d bet his horns that Jake wants him back. The human just needs to realize how good Claus can make him feel.

But when a rival demon king attacks, Claus realizes his attentions have put Jake in danger. Claus’s enemies are more than willing to hurt Jake if it means hurting him and Claus will need to coax his human into his arms if he has any chance of protecting him.

Diabolical is a paranormal, gay romance spin-off from the Wolves of Royal Paynes series and may be read as a standalone but would be better enjoyed read in order.
