Transferring schools in the middle of my freshman year wasn’t a part of my plan.

Moving to a new school with unfamiliar people has me beyond nervous, but you won’t see me without a smile on my face. I’ve never been the one to let others know what I’m really feeling inside, so I hide it all with sunshine instead.

After going out of my way to avoid her, my sister begs me to keep Olivia Davis company. She’s in a new place with new people, so I reluctantly give in. If it weren’t for my sister bothering me, I wouldn’t have thought twice about it.

But as I begin to get close with Olivia, I find myself going out of my way to see her.

She has a new friend—one that I don’t like—and if I don’t approve, then he doesn’t deserve her.
