About the author

Kaitlyn Doht

As a recovering addict who has battled meth and fentanyl addiction since the age of 25, I have faced numerous challenges and overdoses throughout my journey. My boyfriend, Matt, and I have struggled together on the path to recovery, enduring homelessness on the streets outside St. Louis—even in the freezing cold of winter. Had it not been for the amazing people who encouraged and supported us, we could still be on the streets or even dead. I believe God has kept me here for a purpose, and my mission is to share my experiences to help others on their path to recovery. By sharing my story, I hope to inspire and support those navigating similar struggles, guiding them toward healing and hope.
