Scarred for life, a woman faces devastating consequences.

Former fashion model Lucy Greenwood is the victim of an acid attack on a busy London street. Her facial injuries are so horrific her life hangs by a thread. On admission to hospital she is placed in an induced coma, but when she comes around a month later her terrifying ordeal is only just beginning. She has no idea who might be responsible, and because the police have no leads in their investigation she turns her back on the world.

Lucy's house becomes a shrine to desperation as she aches to be the person she was, relying on alcohol to suppress this nightmare come to life. After a chance encounter with a young, small-time drug dealer who is quick to spot a sale her mind becomes a mix of illusion and reality, and although a psychiatrist tries to help her with this life-changing event she is soon spiralling in an emotional whirlwind. Meanwhile, the attacker still hasn't been found.
