Chris Norbury
Chris Norbury is the un-gainfully employed, non-bestselling author of four novels. Each book has earned various book awards most people have never heard of and probably won’t remember anyway. His Matt Lanier thriller series stars a musician hero who stumbles upon a violent, powerful conspiracy that ruins his life and nearly kills him because he’s too brilliantly stubborn to let the bad guys win.
His newest book—Little Mountain, Big Trouble—is a middle-grade adventure novel inspired by his experiences as a volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters for twenty years.
Chris grew up in the Twin Cities, where he earned a B.S. in Music Education from the University of Minnesota. He’s had careers as a public-school band director, financial planner, wine consultant, and day trader before taking up the challenge of being an author. He belongs to the Twin Cities and national chapters of Sisters in Crime and the Alliance of Independent Authors.
He lives in southern Minnesota with his wife, Sandra. For reasons even he can’t understand, he’s a lifelong golf addict. Another passion is canoeing in Minnesota’s Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. He’s taken dozens of canoe trips there, plus several other river trips over the decades. Many have been solo adventures.
After publishing his first book in 2016, Chris has donated a portion of all his book sales to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern MN.
