Shayla Hart
Hi there,
As you already know my name is Shayla. I am 34 years old. I am a Sales Executive by trade. I was born and raised in the UK, London, so the city is pretty much all I know. I have two beautiful sons, I am happily married and have been for a long time. My family are from Northern Cyprus, I am of Turkish heritage. I may not live in Cyprus, but I still call it home as I try to fly out every chance I get to see my extended family.
I don't want to bore you with my life story, so let me tell a little about why I started writing.
While I love reading, I never thought of myself as a writer, nor do I have a fancy degree from a top notch University. (wish I did) Truth is, I got married very young. I was at the tender age of 17 when I got hitched and before I knew it, I was a mum at the age of 18. I never really had the opportunity to figure out what I wanted to be because I was busy learning to be a mother instead. Now, don't get me wrong, I love my kids, I have no regrets whatsoever, they are my whole world.
Needless to say, I pushed the pause button my own life and I focused my energy on raising my children. I decided to start writing back in the year of 2007, I had a few things going on in my life at that point, where I lost touch of who I was and I wound up pretty depressed.
One day, I opened a word document and stared blankly at the cursor for a while and decided to get my emotions out on paper - so to speak. That's how my first book Seduction came to be. It was meant as a short story, but I just kept writing and writing until I got over my depression.
So, basically, writing really helped turn my life around and it holds a very special place in my heart. I might not be the worlds best Author, but every word I wrote in my book come straight from my heart.
Thank you so much to all my readers, your support means so much to me.
All my love
Shayla Hart
