Maria Elena Martinez is a petite woman with a big heart. She loves her family and is always helping them out however she can. Being there for her family is how she spends her days when she's not writing. 
Being diagnosed with a mental illness at the age of twenty-nine, she isn't afraid to share her experience with others. However, her diagnosis does not keep her from having an active life and pursuing her career as an author.
Walt Disney World is her favorite vacation spot. Mystery, romance, suspense, and thrillers are her preferred reading genres. And, her days are full of cups of Cuban coffee shared with her Cuban mother.
