Julia Teweles

Julia Teweles was born as Claude Teweles in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She transitioned from male to female in 2007, although she always identified as female.
Teweles is an accomplished author, former book publisher, film producer, and social justice advocate. She was first published at age fifteen by the National Geographic Society. In college one of her poems won honorable mention in a writing contest sponsored by the Academy of American Poets.

The Stalker was first published by Zebra Books in 1984. Teweles’ second novel, The Wilds, was released in 1989 by Dell Books and is being republished jointly by Crossroad Press and Fathom Press.

Both novels fall into the category of psychological horror, where the reader is unsure where the evil is coming from. Are the supernatural forces real or coming from the tortured minds of main characters?
