     Jerico Matias Cruz is a consultant, an entrepreneur and an avid fan and reader of poetry. He writes and studies poems in different genres, styles, forms, and other literary works.

     Jerico Matias Cruz received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Northeastern Illinois University and completed his post-baccalaureate studies of 40 credit hours specializing in Master of Science in Policy Economics program from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

     Jerico Matias Cruz received his military education and training from the United States Army Basic Training School, Fort Knox, KY; the United States Army Transportation School, Fort Leonard Wood, MO; and the United States Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School, Fort Bragg, NC.

     Jerico Matias Cruz is an independent political candidate for the United States House of Representative, IL - 5th Congressional District for November 8, 2022 General Election. In addition, Jerico Matias Cruz creates a short documentary film entitled “Independent Candidate: A Short Documentary Film” in which he shows the electoral processes and his personal experiences running as an independent political candidate for the United States House of Representative, IL-5th Congressional District.
