The stereotypical writer through and through, I find hiding out alone in my office, cut off from society where I can pursue my obsessive compulsions in peace & carry on uninterrupted conversations with my imaginary friends while I sip coffee, to be all the rage.

I like people too.

The real ones.

But I'm shy and often awkward, so I don't show it well (unless you're my kid, then I'm like, hug central - but you're probably not so...).

If we meet - please don't hold this against me.

I should tell you, while my one, single, solitary novel may not show it, it's actually year seven in my publishing career, and I've just entered my third author life.

This next life, I'm tackling as myself - Karina Giörtz. No pen name. No set genre. No game plan. 

It's exciting. 

And scary. 

And I'm nervous. 

But I'm told you need those...nerves. They let you know when you’re growing, taking chances, becoming more. If you don’t feel the rattle of your teeth between your jaws every now and again, you’re not living right. Hell, you’re probably not living at all.
