A war is brewing between the rebel forces I lead and the prince whose crown should belong to me. Except, instead of preparing to fight, I’m distracted by the arrival of the human brides. Or rather, by one of them. After a chance encounter, I can’t stop thinking about her.

When I spot Olivia walking with another male, the mating fever scorches my veins and the beast in my head roars “MINE.” A possessive impulse strikes, and I take her, hiding us away within the rainforest where the rebel camp lies.

Good things never come to those of us in the bottom tier. Not even being chosen in a bridal lottery and bound for an advanced alien planet. Nothing’s changed despite no longer being on Earth, because nobody mentioned the impending war on Bohna.

When the rebel leader takes me captive, my intentions are to make his life miserable. What I don’t count on is how much I enjoy verbally sparring with him. Or the spark of attraction that grows with each passing day. The longer I’m around Janik, the more I realize someone’s been lying to us…about everything.

Now I have to decide who to believe and if I should actually trust the rebel outlaw. Especially with my heart.
