Growing up, Julia read romances in English (fluently), Chinese (fluently), and Japanese (with sheer determination and the help of dictionaries). She has always been fascinated by the different tropes each culture offers and the completely different types of “swoon-worthy” heroes across languages. A lifelong bookworm who reads as obsessively as any romance fan, she writes in both English and Chinese.
