About the author

Harry Day

Mississippi writer and native Harry Day started a journal in college in the early 90's because of the eclectic life he found himself within.  Upon graduating college at Mississippi State with a Minor in Communications (all writing classes) he wrote the rough draft for his first novel in 1994.  Thirty years later Harry has completed 5 literary fiction novels, has two more in the editing process and two longer novels sitting idle on his computer in need of editing.

Harry is a member of the Mississippi Craftsmen's Guild for metal sculpture.  This craft takes him to art festivals around the region where he sells his sculptures and his novels he self published in short runs for a low ticket item.  His novels have sold well on this circuit, often garnering repeat buyers and humbling compliments.  Writing fiction is by far his biggest passion in the arts.

Harry Day was born and raised in Mississippi, has lived in Oregon, South Carolina and southern California before returning to Mississippi to be near his family and raise his children.  He has worked in the restaurant business, wildfire fighting, beach rental and life guard, resort golf caddy, coached youth football, baseball and is currently coaching golf.  He is a hunter, gardener, father and friend, podcaster (Too True To Lie) and an ex surfer.
