This book is dedicated to children navigating shared parenting in different home environments. It is written from the perspectives of three alien children who must navigate life between two completely different planets, each representing their parents' homes. It delves into the challenges, trials, and triumphs they face during these transitions; while also highlighting the love and joy they experience at each planet. The two planets—Mom's and Dad's—are vastly different, with unique rules, responsibilities, and environments that the children must learn to adapt to and thrive within. It is written for all the amazing resilient children who move through this in their daily lives; alongside the awesome parents who support them. Thank you to my wonderful UK play therapy supervisor, Karen O' Neill, who described this metaphor to me many years ago, to help me understand this situation from the child's perspective. I have used it ever since, allowing parents to really unpack and reflect upon what their children go through when transitioning between each home or in this case, planet.
