Hi. I’m Sonya Muhlsimmer, author of the cookbook for adventurers, "Xtreme Gourmet: High Energy, Lightweight Recipes for the Outdoor Enthusiasts".
My two favourite things are spending as much time outdoors as possible and food. From a very early age my father took me out skiing (literally as soon as I could walk), camping, caving, and bushwalking. Hence, spending a lot of time in the wilderness. I have a BSc in Food Science and I am a qualified chef. I am based in the Blue Mountains, NSW, Australia. The recipes in the book focus on meals that are lightweight for the pack, nutritious, easy to prepare, and that taste delicious!
