Mercutio is neglected and unloved before he is taken in by Bettina and her son, Romeo. For Mercutio, everything changes. Romeo becomes his whole world and he cannot imagine being without him.
But boys grow up and Romeo and Mercutio soon find themselves dealing with relationships and events beyond their control and sometimes love is just not enough.
