Lily had just broken up with her boyfriend, Julien, and wanted nothing else but to get on with her life. Unfortunately, he didn't seem so inclined and started following after her, making his presence known wherever she appeared.

He even showed up at her building once and scared her as she prepared to get into her apartment, but then someone else intervened. Valerie was tall, beautiful and mysterious, and somehow Lily felt like she knew her. There was something between them, and Lily didn't know how to act around her.
