EXCERPT: The little changing room was dusty and dimly lit, and there were two mirrors placed at angles so that I could see myself from the front and side as I began gingerly unbuttoning my blouse. I looked around the cubicle as I did so, at first unable to locate the hole in the wall that Clara had warned me about.
It was only as I was bending down a little, to lay my folded up blouse carefully on the little stool in the corner, that I saw it: a large circular hole, about the size of a saucer, at waist height.
