At first, inheriting the sprawling Sky Hollow estate from a famous uncle they never knew seems like a dream come true for Nadia and Aidan Loveland. With friends in tow, they head to the house with high hopes, despite claims that the music from one of their late uncle's sculptures can open a portal between the world of the living and the world of the dead.

But not all are happy about their sudden good fortune. From the outset, something at Sky Hollow resents their intrusion on the property, if not their very existence. As encounters with the unexplained grow more and more terrifying, and buried secrets come to light, brother and sister soon find themselves the targets of a vengeful entity.
