Aged fourteen, Joshua Castle was a poster boy for health and high school success when he was diagnosed with bile duct cancer. He was given three months to live. Josh defied all expectations by filling the remaining 364 days of his life with optimism, courage and humour. He died on 18 January 2018 still lying about winning at cards. In 2017 Penny Castle gave up her career as an executive coach to focus on caring for her terminally ill son, Josh. She is a writer and author of the popular blog, My Garden Crush. Her memoir, Cultivating Happiness, is due for publication in late 2018.
