Caroline is the chubby girl at Bellingwood Middle-School that everyone likes to bully. She didn't think that life could get any worse, until both her parents died and she was forced to move in with her Aunt Agatha. Caroline knew her aunt was a witch and she was strict. She figured her life was over, until one day, while snooping around in her aunt's bedroom, she comes across her mother's magic cookbook. The book contains a map leading to a magic chocolate cream pie in Willindorf, and there's a rumor that whoever finds the pie and eats one slice, that person will be granted one wish. Caroline desperately wants to escape from living with her evil Aunt Agatha, and see's this as her chance to bring her parents back to life. So, with nothing to lose, Caroline decides to take the book and go search for the magic pie.

When Agatha comes home and discovers that Caroline has disappeared with the book, she constructs "Operation Hunt for Caroline"-a plan that will focus all her energy toward destroying her niece and getting back the book before Caroline discovers a family secret hidden in it.

Now Caroline finds herself facing an army of evil seekers, tricks and unexpected obstacles as she searches for the magic chocolate cream pie, but none of the evil forces that she faces can compare with the battle against and even greater enemy: herself.
