Annette Goodhart was born in the deep south of the United States but migrated north to Boston, Massachusetts, and then kept moving upwards until she found herself in the rustic state of Maine. Although Maine was not the original objective, it proved to be the perfect place for creative inspiration and to nurture the solitary craft of writing. She had many memorable experiences before coming home to work on her writing full-time, including teaching at the very high school that Stephen King graduated from, and seeing firsthand the creepy girl's locker room that inspired the infamous scene in Carrie! Good stuff! During her tenure as a teacher, Annette traveled many miles of Maine's major highways and meandering roads and saw countless strange and inexplicable phenomena native to this huge, mysterious state.
