Man in the Middle: A Collection of Essays by A Red, White and Blue American
Eric Nachamie
Eric Nachamie was born in New York but moved with his family as a child to the Charlotte area of North Carolina in 1980 where he has lived for most of his life. He earned his undergraduate degree from North Carolina State University in Political Science and his Master of Public Administration from UNC-Charlotte. As someone who considers public service a special calling, Eric has worked in local government purchasing, administration and budgeting for over twenty years.
His personal interests include politics, health and fitness, and science fiction. "I am a Star Wars devotee from the beginning. I can remember as a child in New York City in the 1970s when the first movie came out - the lines to get into theatres were unbelievable".
During his leisure time, Eric enjoys having an active lifestyle which includes participating in running, strength training, Tai Chi and "driveway" basketball. Eric is also a YouTube fanatic and regularly accesses the platform for entertainment and educational pursuits.
Finally, his greatest joy is being a father to his now college-aged son who shares Eric's interest in politics. "A perfect Friday night is when my son and I get takeout, watch either CNN or Fox News (or both) and discuss and debate our support or opposition to the viewpoints being presented." Eric comically declares, "I have succeeded as a father, if I have taught my son to argue with the television like a deranged middle-aged man."
This work is the first published book by Eric who would like to see his collection of essays develop into an ongoing series.
