There are times in your life when you know everything has changed, and no matter what you do, you can never go back to who you were before that moment. For me, that moment happened when a former Navy SEAL nicknamed 'Cowboy' escorted me to the dance floor at my sister's wedding, then walked away once the song was over. See, I had a big problem. I was seventeen. He was thirty-two. And I loved him. But, I wouldn't always be seventeen, and one day, Jesse Compton would love me. I'd make sure of it.

About the author

D.L. Lane

D.L. Lane is a writer, dreamer, believer in miracles, wife, a graduate of Liberty University, and holds a degree in Psychology. Like many authors, she fell in love with writing as a kid and began scribbling. One year turned into two, two to five, then ten, and D.L. still found herself writing as an adult.

In 2010 D.L. left the day job, started writing romance full-time using a pen name, and became a bestselling author with over forty titles published. However, in 2019 she left the pen name behind, hit the do-over button, and started writing inspirational, faith-based romance and contemporary romance.
