Opal took a deep breath and said, "You're staring at me." without looking at him.
"Is it a crime?" he retorted.
She looked at him and pulled a face then looked back at the reflection of the moon in the water.
"Imagine we actually died from jumping off that cliff," he said.
Opal sighed.
"Maybe that wouldn't have been such a bad thing. Right now I think being dead is better than being alive."
"I'm not afraid of death," he said.
"Me neither."
Opal joked, "Maybe we should start a suicide pact."
She laughed.
"Okay, let's do it."
Opal wants nothing more than for her family to get along. But soon her parents will be divorced leaving Opal and her younger sister stuck in the middle of a custody battle.
Logan wants his dad to accept him the way he is. But all his dad cares about is Logan's brother, the polar opposite of Logan.
